This 10+ acres beachfront development consists of 348 townhomes, flats and penthouse condominium units. The townhomes are of two, and two and one-half story designs to facilitate views of the beach and ocean. The flats and penthouses are located in two large structures of three, four, and four and one-half stories built on a split-level subterranean parking structure. Over 50% of these units have views of the beach and ocean. Flush framing is incorporated to achieve maximum glass area, desirable for light and views. The deep blues, beiges and greys of the sky, water and sand, and the various greens of the lush landscaping are the prime considerations for the palette of the structures. The choice of plaster, metals, and brick was determined by the damp salt air climate, giving the complex a low maintenance solution, while keeping a sophisticated abstract modern appearence.
